Selsey, UK - 23.10.2004
- Report

The Bunn Leisure Park is a Holiday-Park at the coast of Selsey. There are regulary shows for the amusements of the guests of these park. But these shows are only for the residents of this park, and you have normally to book for 3 days.
On 23-10-2004 Limahl was the star of one of these shows.

TinaS and I had the luck to be at this show during our England-journey. The event took place in the so called Embassy-Ballroom. In the outdoors there was a stormy and rainy weather. Because of that we were a little bit wet, when we arrived in the hall. But although we were in a good mood.

I did’nt look on the watch, but I think Limahl and band came out on stage at maybe 09:30 pm and abducted us on a journey through the eighties. He performed a few of the songs from this time.
Rio, a song of one of my favourite bands Duran Duran, Just can’t get enouph, tainted love - only to mention some of the interpreted songs. But of course he didn’t forget his own songs: too shy and neverending story.

Certainly I would had like to hear some more of his own songs, but I am a real child of the eighties, so the choice of the songs was definitely after my fancy.
At the beginning of the show it was a little bit strange, because the audiance had to sit on their chairs - the English seems to be a little bit different :-). But after a few songs it lightened up, and some of the people began to dance in front of the stage.

Also between his songs we could see a good humored Limahl. For example he showed us a photo of himself, on which he is seen with his favourit haircut. He has given the signed poster.

I can say, that this evening was a lttle highlight of our journey (normally it wasn’t planed to be there, but we have missed another appearance - and so we tried it in Selsey), and once again I enjoyed the appearance of Limahl. I can say, that I got to know him as a very nice person..

On the previous site you find some photos of the show in the slideshows.

Best wishes
Steffi
